Dr. Char Dennis is the founder and CEO of Academic Sports Solutions, Inc™ a leading full-service provider of academic and athletic consulting, strategic planning, and innovative solutions for educational and athletic organizations across the country. She launched Academic Sports Solutions™ in response to the increasing need for integrated approaches to student-athlete success, institutional leadership, and technological advancement. In her role, Dr. Dennis oversees all operations, including client partnerships, program development, and the management of a multidisciplinary team of industry experts.

 

With over 25 years of experience in higher education, athletics, public relations, and applied research, Dr. Dennis has held key positions in directing student success initiatives, professional development programs, and strategic collaborations across sectors. As a former Director of Student Affairs in higher education, she led strategic initiatives within academic affairs, managing over $2 million in funding and a team of 15 members while designing scholarship policies and DEIA-aligned engagement models. Her leadership in academic affairs has yielded measurable outcomes, including a 25% increase in alumni giving and a 30% rise in student program participation through innovative mentorship and retention programs.

 

Dr. Dennis is a nationally recognized expert in AI governance, culturally responsive leadership, and the development of mentorship-driven academic support systems. Before founding Academic Sports Solutions, Inc™, she managed trademark and intellectual property portfolios for high-profile clients and led successful projects in both educational and corporate environments.

 

She earned her Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History from Auburn University, where her research focused on addressing disparities in student achievement through evidence-based mentorship and academic frameworks. Additionally, she holds an MBA, an MPH, and an MSc, along with professional certifications in AI strategy, governance, and ethics.

 

Outside her consulting practice, Dr. Dennis hosts the leadership podcast "My Style Live," serves as the Board Chair of the Nashville Shakespeare Festival, and is a member of the Auburn University Alumni Association Board. She is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Dr. Dennis has been recognized as one of NFocus Magazine's Top 10 Philanthropists and as a Model Behavior honoree for her exceptional contributions to education and community leadership.
